What shops do in the available evidence

The official Build and Conquer description names shops as part of developing your country. It does not supply a shop roster or an income formula. A separate YellowHeadVin money tutorial, published 29 September 2026 UTC, provides a specific visible example: Large Supermarket in the Civilian → Commercial → Retail menu.

We reviewed its selected entry and tooltip at 0:33 on 12 October. This establishes that the name and the following displayed values occur in that footage. The precise recording date and game build are not shown. The current beta has not been tested against these figures, so read them as a dated reference when comparing your own screen.

Large Supermarket: displayed fields

NameRole shownPrice shownUnlock condition shownNotes
Large Supermarket+$260 each pay cycle; +32 happiness; serves 100 citizens$2,640 in selected entry at 0:33City level 3 (5,000 population)Tooltip: 20 energy, water supply, 8 workers, $10 upkeep each pay cycle; within 4 studs of a road

Inspect the original frame around 0:33. These are separate displayed fields, not a tested profit calculation. The income line and upkeep line should remain separate when quoting the tooltip. We have not established a complete cost model or the real-time length of a pay cycle from this example.

Why one price is not a universal cost

The reviewed material also shows a $2,832 Large Supermarket placement label while navigating the Resources menu around 2:08. The footage does not explain the difference from the earlier $2,640 selected-entry value. We do not infer a scaling rule, discount, bug or extra charge to resolve that mismatch.

For a current purchase decision, compare the catalog, selected-entry information and placement label on your own screen. If they disagree, record all of them and the actual deduction if you choose to build. A historical catalog screenshot alone cannot prove the final cost of every later placement.

Compare a shop with its operating requirements

This tooltip connects a particular retail entry with money and several needs. It does not establish that every shop uses the same workers, energy, water, upkeep or road condition. Keep requirements beside the exact building name, and check whether your current game offers the same entry before applying the example.

The money guide uses this footage as evidence for the shop route described by the creator. It does not label Large Supermarket the best starter building or claim an optimal return. The creator’s preference for supermarkets is a recommendation in an older tutorial, not a complete comparison across all available buildings.

Where to go next

Use the civilian reference for the eight broader construction topics named by the developer. Use the video directory to inspect the original chapters and publication dates. If your current tooltip differs, report the exact field, date and visible version through the About page’s feedback address. That allows a targeted update rather than replacing an old number with another unexplained number.

Frequently asked questions

Are supermarkets an invented building name?

Large Supermarket is visibly labeled in the reviewed player video. The official description only says shops; the more specific name comes from dated footage.

Does Large Supermarket always cost $2,640?

No universal price is established. The selected entry shows $2,640 at 0:33, while a later placement label shows $2,832. Current prices and actual deduction need a game test.

Are these the current requirements?

They are readable in footage from a video published 29 September 2026 UTC. This wiki has not verified them against the current beta.
